Gimme Job
A job-search workspace for saved roles, application history, résumé revisions, and interview preparation. Its desktop companion keeps job-board browsing and application assistance alongside a tracker that records the evidence behind each outcome.
- TypeScript
- Electron
- Next.js
- SQLite

What I built
Job searching scatters information across browser tabs, documents, messages, and spreadsheets. I built Gimme Job to connect those steps while keeping the distinction between a saved opportunity, a prepared application, and a confirmed submission visible.
Engineering decisions
- Evidence before a success state
- Application records distinguish preparation, uncertainty, and verified submission. The desktop workflow checks entered values and résumé attachments against the source information before recording the result.
- Automation with an explicit boundary
- Runs have limits on time, steps, applications, and token use. Stopping a run revokes browser dispatch before saving its state, and an interrupted run does not silently resume on restart.
- Recoverable local history
- The desktop companion uses SQLite, encrypted personal payloads, and backups before migrations. Résumé tailoring creates a separate revision so the original experience and earlier application history remain available.
